Art Classes for Kids on Sydney's Northern Beaches

Creating Memories

PICTUREPLATE

We are SO excited to announce our series of Picture Plate Workshops at Art&Co. These plates seem to be such a fond memory for so many people – and Art&Co want to take them to the next level. In our themed workshops, children will learn a new art skill, create an artwork, and then their artworks will be made into their very own Picture Plate to treasure for many years to come.

Kicking off with Zentangle-inspired workshops on August 22nd, these wonderfully graphic artworks draw on the meditative art practice known as ‘Zentangle’. An excellent technique to teach children how they can use art as a way to relax, unwind and use their creative problem solving skills. The end result is always extremely striking and will look fabulous on their very own Picture Plate. There will be a preschooler session (3-5 year olds) and a primary school session (5 years +).

The next workshops will be held on August 30th and will be Watercolour themed. Watercolour is a wonderful medium for kids – vibrant, lyrical and sometimes unpredictable, watercolour paint can capture the energy and imagination of childhood. In this workshop kids will be introduced to watercolour paints and how to use them, then they will create their own abstract artwork, which will be transformed into a Picture Plate. There will be a preschooler session (3-5 year olds) and a primary school session (5 years +).

Bookings are now being taken for all workshops so get in touch to secure your spot! Email carlylouisecasey@gmail.com
